Windows 7 Netbook Lenovo Ideapad s10 eee pc msi aspire one

Posted on 03 January 2009

7 build 7000

running on my
1 gig ram only, seemed to use average 500mb – 600mb of ram seen it go down to 345mb at times but still a far cry for xp’s 200mb or less.

anyways what i did was just swap the hard drive out for a 120 gig formatted it and installed it that way my original hard drive was untouched so i can put it back in without erasing my touch backup. i also made a image backup of my drive with acronis but didnt use it. this way i can swap hard drives anytime for either OS i want to run.

7 def ran nice with only 1 gig ram and well better then vista.

but i also noticed that win 7 incorporated some tablet functions which i thought was cool and sicne i will be doing a touch screen mod it will come in handy.

Since at the seminar they demo-ed a with win 7 i had to try it. and since i was in the beta program for win 7 i felt confident it was going to go smooth.

the install took a whopping 35 minutes to install that was quite fast considering it takes longer then xp.

overall it run very well. it doesnt beat xp’s speed or ram usage.

but def nice to try with the new features win 7 has to offer. i cannot wait till the official release it will be a must for sure.

face recogntion is a sweet feature and i enjoyed using it. it logs users getting scanned tryn to log in as well pretty neat!

Well i will upload the video of the install as well.

the install was done using a usb externel dvd rom. no glitches and no errors from start to finish!
