no not with a i7 as long as you don’t push it beyond turbo boost rates
and the wifi people just don’t like really cause it’s not really a high performance one you would expect in this. but it is not going to make you have to sit 3 feet from router = P

with i7, going to the maximum suggestion known as turbo boost, it will not void your warranty, but if you pushed it over then the recommended overclock as the i7 is intended for, then it will.
and wi-fi hard to say good or bad, it’s kind of standard and i don’t think it’s upgradeable unfortidently

why there is still no video unboxing of this qosmio laptop…anyone can find one? or make one?
November 9th, 2009 at 7:25 am
I have a Qosmio x305 q701, I wonder if a can install a 12.5 mm high secondary hard drive or it only fits a 9mm high? And how about on the X500?

@ToshibaLaptops
Looks like a great laptop but I have a question about the CPU & Wi-Fi.
You say on your spec cheat that your CPU runs at 1.6 GHz but with Turbo Boost up to 2.80GHz.
Is this consider over clocking and will this void the “1 YEAR STANDARD LIMITED WARRANTY”?
Also, I heard that there is some problems with the WI-FI and that you need to be right next to the router in order for it to work?

Unfortunately, we cannot post the full detailed specifications for laptop models here on YouTube.
However, if you click the link within the description section in the upper right hand corner, it will take you to the Qosmio X500 series page where you can select the model you are interested in and get the full detailed specifications you are looking for.
Hope that helps.

All Qosmio X500 series laptops come with built-in wireless capabilities that allow you to access the internet.
Wireless USB is for connecting devices such as printers without the use of cables.
November 9th, 2009 at 7:25 am
Obviously an IT beginner’s question, but could some explain why the x505 does not have wireless USB and what consequences does that have? Does that mean i cannot have a wireless connection to the internet?
November 9th, 2009 at 7:25 am
thxs for quick responce
November 9th, 2009 at 7:25 am
There’s really no difference. The X500 is just the series under which there are many models. Currently, most of the models start with “X505″ but they all fall under the “X500 Series” umbrella.
Hope this clears things up.
