The video shows the laptop in 3 states. 1st: Charger connected, running from mains. 2nd: Charger disconnected, running from battery in powersaving mode. 3rd: Running from battery, with powersaving disabled. The laptop boasts a ATI Radeon HD 5470 with 512MB dedicated ram, when powersaving mode is enabled, this card is turned off, and the main display adapter changes to the Intel GPU built into the Intel Core i5 CPU. When in this state, the battery will last all day long (Manufacturer says 12 hours). Even when using this low power state, the laptop is still very fast – when doing things like web browsing or watching video or general use – but you wouldn’t want to play Crysis on the train in this mode! The ATI card can be re-enabled by simply pressing the Powersave button on the laptop if more power is needed. Overall it’s a cracking little machine, highpower on demand(and I mean high for a laptopof this size), or low power mode for extreme battery life.
I got my CompaqPresarioC700 a couple years ago, and the other day I turned it off. When I turned it back on, it told me I needed a power on password. Has anyone else had this problem, or know how to fix it??? Please I need help!!
I know about Core 2 Duo. I have Quad Core on my PC. But that’s about it.
For a netbook, or a small laptop, how much Intel do you need? There are so many different models and classes, I can’t tell.
I need enough CPU to have several IE windows open, handle a fast internet connection, and use Word and Excel. Also, the ability to watch streaming video and audio would be nice, but not necessary.
I have a computer and the powersource blew out. This is the 4th one that has gone out and I’ve only had the computer for two years. Can somebody tell me why it happens so often? Is it common for the CompaqPresario brand of computers? I bought the computer brand new out of the box from Wal-Mart.
