A quick demo of the EEEPC 900 Multitouch function in action on a variety of commonly used programs with a running commentary. It's similar to how the MacbookAir and the iphone work. I've made a comparison with the iphone to show the differences between the implementations. This function is already built into the EEEPC so doesn't require any additional software or set up in software. If you already have a system and were not aware of this function, you may want to try this out on your own program by following the instructions in this video. Thanks for watching. Part 1 of the Hardware section of my personal review of the SamsungNC10netbook. I’ve had the unit for about a week and a half now and I’m very impressed with it so far, for reasons I describe in the video. I’ve tried to go into as much detail as possible, I noticed some other reviews skimmed over a few things which I considered to be important. Apologies if I ramble on a bit for that reason The software video will be up soon, as soon as I find time to film it haha Link to part 2: www …
Lenovo idepad S10 2gig ram 160 hard drive. Just a short video showing that i am running ubuntu8.10 LIVE USB. I did not install any drivers for the video. wireless card was detected already all i did was select a network wireless LED light was working as well as the hotkey to turn on and off Sound was already detected nothing installed When i inserted a SD card it auto mounts it to the desktop was able to run under full visual effects under “extra” no problems
also there some questions about the battery life changing on Windows7,
so far i have not seen any diference, thats not to say there isn’t i just havnt payed to much attention to setting under Windows7 i am still getting 2 hours with browsing, video playing, and video editing. thats suficient enough for me right now.
running on my lenovo ideapad s10 1 gig ram only, seemed to use average 500mb – 600mb of ram seen it go down to 345mb at times but still a far cry for xp’s 200mb or less.
anyways what i did was just swap the hard drive out for a 120 gig formatted it and installed it that way my original hard drive was untouched so i can put it back in without erasing my onetouch backup. i also made a image backup of my drive with acronis but didnt use it. this way i can swap hard drives anytime for either OS i want to run.
Windows7 def ran nice with only 1 gig ram and well better then vista.
but i also noticed that win 7 incorporated some tablet pc functions which i thought was cool and sicne i will be doing a touch screen mod it will come in handy.
Since at the seminar they demo-ed a lenovos10 with win 7 i had to try it. and since i was in the beta program for win 7 i felt confident it was going to go smooth.
the install took a whopping 35 minutes to install that was quite fast considering it takes longer then xp.
overall it run very well. it doesnt beat xp’s speed or ram usage.
but def nice to try with the new features win 7 has to offer. i cannot wait till the official release it will be a must for sure.
Lenovo face recogntion is a sweet feature and i enjoyed using it. it logs users getting scanned tryn to log in as well pretty neat!
Well i will upload the video of the install as well.
the install was done using a usb externel dvd rom. no glitches and no errors from start to finish!
