i have an old compaq presario 5304 and i cant find the users manual anywhere on the internet. Can anyone point me towards a website?

I just bought a 160 GB netbook.
It has no disk drive.
I was told that I can access the disk on my desktop computer wireless-ly and use it for the netbook.
I.E. If I put a CD or DVD in the disk drive on the desk top computer I can watch or listen or save it on my Netbook Laptop.
Only I don’t know how to do that, can anyone help me?

A friend of mine had some issues with his Compaq Presario S5000CL, so he ran the system restore that is on the hard drive. For some reason it downgraded from XP to 98. Were not sure why, when the comp came with XP. I have a newer compaq, and was wondering if my restore disks would put XP back on his. Also having trouble with graphics, the screen settings will only give you 2 color or 16 color. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.
