I am thinking about getting a small netbook the thing is they don’t have cd drives so I can’t download Word from a CD. Is there a way to get it from my main computer to a flashdrive or another way to a netbook?

They are both small, but what’s differentiates them from being called one or the other?
I just bought a Toshiba; I thought it was a NETbook, but the box says it’s a NOTEbook. What gives!? LOL!

I am trying to get at the motherboard of a Compaq 1240 Laptop. I dont want to break it, so i will ask someone who knows what they are doing. I have a big computer toolkit. Trying to upgrade the Pentium 2 Processor to something better.
Even if I can’t change the processor, I want to be able to see it. I don’t mind tearing the thing apart as long as it doesn’t break permanently.

I just bought a 160 GB netbook.
It has no disk drive.
I was told that I can access the disk on my desktop computer wireless-ly and use it for the netbook.
I.E. If I put a CD or DVD in the disk drive on the desk top computer I can watch or listen or save it on my Netbook Laptop.
Only I don’t know how to do that, can anyone help me?

My Compaq (Presario SR1810NX with XP Home Ed, 1.5GB DDR 3200 RAM, 100GB HD) computer came with an all-in-one mobo (i.e., 256MB graphics, 32-bit audio chips; on-board modem and ethernet connection) when I bought the whole system April of last year. And while I was enjoying HP’s year-long manufacturer’s warranty then, I already tried to inquire which nVidia video card(s) works fine with my PC, but I never did learn anything new without buying from their online store? I understand also that today’s newer graphics cards may just prove incompatible to last year’s specs but I still wish to know from others who happened to own the same PC I use. Your feedback is most appreciated. Thanks!

I have a Compaq Presario V5000 Laptop. Sometimes when the power adapter is connected, I receive a constant, terrible shock of electricity! The only metal exposed are the speaker grills on the front of the computer, just right below my wrists. When I disconnect the power, and am using the battery things are better. The battery only puts off a little shock and doesn’t happen all the time.
Anyway, any help will be greatly accepted!
Thanks,
Ricky
