@jamesrschultz
The fan starts and stops all the time, it runs for 10 seconds, then quiet for 10 seconds and so on, all the time.

I’ve heard about a fan issue, but I’ve never had the problem myself. What happens?

how do you fix the worthless fan? ?

im thinking of selling my desktop and getting the G450 (I want 14 inch because it weighs less) it has nVidia graphics for $750 or less.

Hi, thanks a lot. We’re in the same boat. The G550 is worth every penny, and you will love it. Good luck! PS: RUN WINDOWS 7 ON IT!!!

Hey, nice video. Like you, I am leaning towards a Lenovo G series to replace my Pavilion. I had a horrible experience with my HP laptop and I will never buy another one (speakers went out, the little HP mickey-mouse on/off power switch went out, the wireless card went out plus software issues -awful). I hope to have better luck with the Lenovo. I looked at Dell, and I just don’t care for their styling (I’m superficial,I guess).

Yeah, it does. Walmart’s website didn’t say it that or an HDMI, but it has both!

Hey man, looks sweet!
Question for you though, does your new G550 have expresscard? I’ve noticed that the 1st gens didn’t, but confused about which ones do and dont!
Thanks!

It’s decent… not worth finding another laptop.
December 18th, 2009 at 8:23 am
Are you okay with the trackpad? I’ve heard complaints about that too.
December 18th, 2009 at 8:23 am

True, it works like a charm. I don’t think it’s messing with anything but im going to call Lenovo since it doesn’t seem to be common.

I have no bulge near the microphone… Also, my screen doesn’t flex when I press on the bottom. Weird, but I guess as long as it works.
December 18th, 2009 at 8:23 am
Hey, I have this computer. Love it so far.
The only qualm I have with it is that right where the microphone is there is a little bulge. Anyone else have this on theirs? Also, when any type of force is applied to the bottom of the screen if flexes a crapload, not sure if this is normal either.
Cheers!

December 18th, 2009 at 8:23 am
I doubt it… It says it wants 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo and 256MB dedicated graphics.. Maybe at VERY low quality though..
December 18th, 2009 at 8:23 am
maybe with like 10 fps.. but not worth it, just buy a better gaming laptop (1000+ dollars) or a gaming desktop which is the same price as this laptop that can play crysis on med or high settings
