They are releasing Win7 because people don’t want vista. I mean why the release of Win7 so soon after the release of vista? It’s because Microsoft knows vista will never be widly accepted by the general public so they redesigned vista, changed it’s name and made it better. Look at windows ME that was put out after win98 and look how fast it was pulled.. Less than a year after it was released. Vista is better now than it was, but it still sucks.

I think that the initial release of Windows Vista was secretly a beta test. But there’s nothing wrong with Vista now that hardware drivers have been updated to work with Vista, and the service pack solved the alleged stability issues. But you said at the start that Microsoft is making Windows 7 because Vista sucks, but later in the comment say that Vista works now and just didn’t when it was first released. If it was fixed, then why would they need to replace it..?

And you just supported my last answer. A short time to make third party drivers. So I ask you if Microsoft would have waited for most of the driver writers to have made drivers that worked with vista then vista wouldn’t have sucked as bad. They rushed a half done OS because they wanted to have it out and in the hands of the people. Only fact is that if Microsoft would have waited to release vista when most driver writers were ready it wouldn’t have sucked. But they were wanting the money .

Uhm, no. It was third-party hardware/software drivers that weren’t compatible with Vista because of short prep time for them to develop new drivers to work with the new O/S.

Actuly Microsoft is putting out Win7 because Vista sucks. And yes I know Win7 is an optimized version of vista but it’s also a better version of a OS that should never have been released unfinished, and thats what vista was. Microsoft could have saved themselves a huge headach by waiting and releasing a more optimized OS instead of releasing something that was clearly unfinished. May work now but it didn’t work well when first released. Those are the facts as they are.

M$ is putting W7 out because Vista had tons of bad reputation, that wasn’t it’s fault.
Vista is a great O/S, and W7 is just an optimized version of it.

This is a nice laptop but he asked “Whats the point of having vista if you don’t get all the cool features like aero”.. Whats the point of having vista, Vista sucks and thats why Microsoft is putting out Win7 next year.. Vista the new windows 98 millennium of the year 2008!
