There isn’t one. Only 13 and 15. Im sitting here with an amazing Acer 18,4 and sure it’s great, but sometimes it can feel cumbersome.
I’m very impressed by HP regarding this release.

Well, the battery comes off, the screen is dark, I don’t know how to record a video that isn’t purple, the volume isn’t very loud, it’s hot, the cap lock is too easy to hit — but other than that.

go for the 18.4 which is even bigger… =P
January 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
well, I can guess it competes with Dell XPS 16…
January 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
That’s why trying to look like a MAC for more than $600 extra and excluding the OD which is very important.
January 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
well the envy is a lot slimmer, and is made from magnesium
January 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
for $1100 can get the same specs from HP itself dv6t Quad Edition with an extra internal optical drive. The only reason this machine is expensive is the design that trying to look like a MAC.
I checked this machine in store and I can say it designed badly. Also read the reviews on its website.
I guess ENVY will be a failure and HP will learn a lot from it.
January 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
as a designer, im forced to stick to macs for compatibility issues and mac workflow at work, but personally the ENVY is the ONLY performance workhorse at a bargain price for design professionals with an added bonus of a discrete 1GB graphics card if you want to do gaming on the go… thats something the new macbook pros cant do yet… not to mention the superb beats audio system integrated into ENVY
January 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
looking at this powerful system, people will be simply stupid to jump straight to a macbook pro especially the all-time pc users. macbook pros dont have the i7 processor yet and the top spec macbook pro 17″ with 8gb ram will cost above around $3000 which is insane. this ENVY is a beast in performance, design and portability in all aspects and surely a macbook pro killer if people seriously give it a thought. I own the latest macbook pro and imacs + 2 pc laptops.
January 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
wow what a copy of the Macbook pro man
at least they are learning from the best!!!
January 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
can anyone recommend a competitor to this?
January 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
I wont buy this laptop for ONLY two reasons:
1) that battery slice should have been inegrated inyto the computer
2) no OD
January 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
This model really sucks! $1800, no internal OD, only one HDD, no edge to edge screen only plastic display. External drive is stupid what kind of engineer can think that people gave $2000 and willing to carry extra huge dvd driver? if this guy did it then screw him
January 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
The “Extended life Battery” should have just been made internal, and there should have been a blu ray/cd/dvd/lightscribe cd drive in it. Also, 15, though tolerable, is not quite big enough for me. I would buy it if it had all the above (even if it made it a tiny bit thicker) and a 17″ screen. Also (and this might be asking much) a 1920×1200 screen would have been nice. When are they making a iMac competitor?
January 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
There are really good PCs HP have made…good job.
January 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
It’s not a Macbook on the inside, but I guess most people only care about the outside, sadly.
January 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
Relax kid don’t shit your pants.
January 1st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
Who cares about the computer. Who is HIM???? lol.
