thanks for your reply!
my specs are 2.5 GHz, 4gb ram, 9cell battey and the full hi definition 1920x1200. i got it 5 days ago and its awesome so far! but i think that it is sad that even tho i have such a high resolution i cannot use it all because of the week graphics card.

how do you like vista so far?

my spec is 2.6 gig 6mb cache 4 gigs ram 256 gb SSD hard drive, extended 9 cell battery and 1680x 1050. i was going to get the new xps 1640 but its a finger print magnet, also the screen seems to be inline with the vents causing warm air to blow on the corner bottom of the screen. bad build i think.

also get one with screen res at least 1440x900 or or higher. the standard 1280x 800 is not enough for a 15.4 " screen.

you cant upgrade the graphics card, as its built on the motherboard. but it is dedicated ram of 256mb none of the dell laptops can be upgraded ie studio 15 or 17 and also the new xps 13 and 16. as all use built on graphics on the mobo.
