thanks for your reply!
my specs are 2.5 GHz, 4gb ram, 9cell battey and the full hi definition 1920×1200. i got it 5 days ago and its awesome so far! but i think that it is sad that even tho i have such a high resolution i cannot use it all because of the week graphics card.
how do you like vista so far?
March 28th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
i dont plays games so the gt8600 is more than enough for me. but i do recomend it over the studio 1535. much better build quality and at least the media button work .

my spec is 2.6 gig 6mb cache 4 gigs ram 256 gb SSD hard drive, extended 9 cell battery and 1680x 1050. i was going to get the new xps 1640 but its a finger print magnet, also the screen seems to be inline with the vents causing warm air to blow on the corner bottom of the screen. bad build i think.
March 28th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
also get one with screen res at least 1440×900 or or higher. the standard 1280x 800 is not enough for a 15.4 ” screen.

you cant upgrade the graphics card, as its built on the motherboard. but it is dedicated ram of 256mb none of the dell laptops can be upgraded ie studio 15 or 17 and also the new xps 13 and 16. as all use built on graphics on the mobo.

is there any way to upgrade the graphics card? if so, which one would fit in it

March 28th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
lol, how is that cyberpower comp holding up? I was going to order one after i saw your video about a year back, but decided to build it instead
March 28th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
I know it is still annoying. It sounds better when filmed on a video camera with a normal mic.
March 28th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
your voice hasn’t changed in a year and a half lol. Good video
March 28th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
how well would the 6gb RAM upgrade with this?
March 28th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
It can play recent games on medium settings at native resolution (1280×800) at 30-60FPS.
March 28th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
I’m getting the EXACT same one but with an extra GB of RAM! ;D
March 28th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
yea, its pretty good. you MUST get the 256mb nVidia video card. without that, you wont be able to play many games
March 28th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
lol, thanks that explains it!
March 28th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
thats pretty much identical to the one im getting, except theres a full HD screen like in ur other configuration.
March 28th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
lol. the case and the cd case was a freebie that dell gave you when this laptop just came out. they stopped putting in the cases awhile ago.
